Alzheimer’s Research UK is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. We are governed by a Board of Trustees, the Charity’s board of directors.
The Board’s role is to set the Charity’s strategic direction. The Board monitors the delivery of the Charity’s objectives, upholds its values and governance, and advises and supports the Chief Executive, who leads the Executive Management Team towards achieving the Charity’s vision and purpose.
The Board of Trustees is led by the Chairman, David Mayhew CBE and meets five times a year. Sub-committees of Trustees and staff report on Audit and Risk, Finance and Investment, HR Remuneration and Legacy.
With expertise in research, fundraising, policy and more, our staff and key spokespeople are dedicated to making breakthroughs possible.
Our voluntary Board of Trustees meets five times per year, with executive staff present.
Our Grant Review Board ensure that we only fund the best research that will take us closer to effective diagnostics, preventions and treatments for dementia.
